My Dear Brothers in Christ,

I greet you with love and joy in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! It is with great happiness that I write to you today on behalf an initiative which seeks to benefit all our parish communities, as well as our own Diakonia Retreat Center.
On October 30, 2014, the Ecumenical Patriarchate ratified the official text of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom, in Greek and English. With the blessings of the Holy Eparchial Synod, the text was published and made available for purchase to all the parishes of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.

However, because the layout of the text left something to be desired, Rev. Fr. Christos P. Mars of Cathedral of the Annunciation has, with my blessings, created a revision for clerical use, which includes the approved Greek and English text on the same page, in separate columns.
With these changes in mind, we have also implemented this redesign for the laity as well. I am therefore pleased to announce that this text will be available in a specific “pew” version, at a cost of $12, with all profits going to assist our own Diakonia Retreat Center. The “Priest” version of the book is also available for $30. To ensure that each parish can take advantage of this opportunity, all orders must be submitted and payments made by December 29, 2017. After this date, the “pew’ version will still be available, at the regular price of $15.
I urge each and every one of you to take advantage of the beautiful opportunity that has been given to us, for both the uplifting of lives liturgically, and for the benefit of future generations’ experiences at the DRC.

I remain with love and blessings,
Paternally yours in our Lord,

+ A L E X I O S
Metropolitan of Atlanta
