2025 AGAPE SCHEDULE

AGAPE MEAL TEAMS

It has been 1 year for this new ministry, and it has been a blessing for fellowship and growth in our church. But we don’t want it to overwhelm us, so we have carefully modified the teams and the schedule to best benefit our community. Please note the following:

  • There’s not a luncheon every Sunday: 13 Sundays are “Coffee Hour Only” and 4 Sundays are special events and are not assigned to a particular team.

 

  • Team B is a “Coffee Hour Only” Team: they will manage most of the lighter days.

 

  • 5 Stronger Teams: Teams A, C, D, E, and F will host 6 lunches and 1 coffee hour per year. On Palm Sunday and Nativity Pageant Sunday, 2 teams will share the hosting.

 

  • Special Sundays: Pascha is specially planned, 1st Day of Sunday School (Aug 24) is a covered dish for everyone. On Mother’s Day the team shares with men of the church and on Fathers Days the team shares with women of the church.

 

  • Reminders & GroupMe’s: Upcoming schedules will be on the website and in the bulletin. Your team leader will use GroupMe to coordinate and remind.

* Making the Coffee (only if you want to)

    1. Fill the percolator with water to the desired level based on attendance (see line markings for 25 cups, 35 cups, 45 cups, 55 cups). 
    2. Measure the Coffee - Use 1 brew bag per 10 cups of water (no filter is necessary if you use the bags). 
    3. Set up the Percolator - Place the brew basket and stem in the percolator, secure the lid and put it out on the wooden pedestal. DON'T PLUG IT IN YET
    4. WAIT UNTIL 10:30 TO PLUG IN PERCULATOR. It takes 40-50 minutes for the coffee to brew so plan to plug it in around 10:30 AM
    5.  Ask a "CHRSP" (Coffee Hour Support Person) to help you:  Sarah, Presvytera, Alan, Georgette, Maddy, Tim
